The doctors and staff at The Great Southern Animal Hospital are committed to enhancing the bond between animals and humans. We strive to provide care and compassion to our patients and provide exceptional service to those who love them. The Great Southern Animal Hospital has been caring for the pets of columbus for the past 53 years. We provide full preventative, medical, surgical, and dental care. Yearly health exams and vaccinations are offered as well as flea, tick, and heartworm prevention.
The diagnostic laboratory is equipped to perform heartworm exams, feline leukemia/FIV screening, fecal parasite examinations, urinalysis, radiographic tomography, and complete blood chemistry profiles. We provide surgical care utilizing pre-surgical blood evaluations, a sterile surgical suite, isofturane anesthesia, electrocardiology, histopathology, and pulse monitoring. Dental procedures include ultrasonic cleaning, polishing, fluoride application, and surgery to help eliminate and prevent periodontal diseases.

Dr. Dustin Sears received his degree in veterinary medicine from The Ohio State University. He has been at The Great Southern Animal Hospital for the past 12 years. Dr. Sears enjoys what he does and looks forward to helping you and your pet experience a healthy lifestyle.
The hospital is located on South High Street, 4 miles south of Broad St. in downtown Columbus and 2 miles north of 270 on South High.
